Steven Zmuda, AIA who is an Associate at Jarmel Kizel, has over 20 years of proven experience with strong leadership in corporate, commercial, educational, mixed used / residential, municipal and historical architecture projects. Effective project management skills and focused interactions with clients and sub-consultants. High customer satisfaction with on-time and within budget delivery. Diligent skills in quality control of construction documents, high-level coordination, strong design and accurate detailing of projects.

Bringing his knowledge of building technical systems, constructability, fabrication and their specific installations to every project.  Experience with managing project approvals through planning and zoning boards with attention to strict code compliance.

Managed team in design of multiple projects in higher education for City College of New York Restoration, New Jersey Schools Development Authority (NJSDA) and New York City School Construction Authority (NYSCA).  Oversaw full building envelopes’ restoration, life and safety upgrades and instructional spaces to meet client standards.  Provided quality control over all project phases for NYC Housing Preservation, NYC Mixed-Use Development with Senior and Affordable Housing and designs of industrial building and sport facilities.
