Arthur Coston Joins Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers as Director of Structural Engineering

LIVINGSTON, N.J. (Nov. 17, 2009)—Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers Inc. has appointed Arthur Coston, P.E., as Associate, Director of Structural Engineering.  Coston is based at the Company’s Livingston, New Jersey, headquarters and will be responsible for leading the Structural Engineering division.

Since 2002, Coston was self-employed as the founder and owner of Coston Enterprises, an engineering firm that provided structural design and analysis, details and general notes for construction documents, as well as provided services for restoration and refurbishment of existing or historic structures.  His projects ranged in size from beam or girder design to multi-story commercial structures.  A notable project completed by the firm was the restoration and refurbishment of a historic building which was utilized as a stop in the 1800s along the Underground Railroad.

 

Prior to running his own business, Coston held structural engineering positions with Klein & Hoffman, Inc.; O’Donnell & Naccarato; Leonard Busch Associates B.A.C. Killam Consulting Engineers; and C&S Engineers, Inc.

 

Coston is a licensed professional engineer and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a B.A. in Urban Planning from Rutgers University, College of Engineering.
