Project Type: New Building Project Size: 70,000 Square Feet Services Provided: Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering Project Description: Vanderbilt Medical Center proposes to renovate 100 Oaks in Nashville, Tennessee, currently an enclosed retail shopping mall, and relocate and consolidate several functions within the building. These functions include the Vanderbilt Dayani Center, Integrative Health Center and Travel Center along with other health, rehabilitation, and fitness services. A key component of the complex will be the Vanderbilt Fitness and Wellness Center. The Fitness and Wellness Center will be operated in partnership between Vanderbilt Medical Center and Fitness and Wellness Professional Services. The project is proposed to be 70,000 square feet in area and will include the renovation of the second floor of the building which equates to approximately 61,674 square feet, as well as a small addition of approximately 10,000 square feet to accommodate the entry and aquatic center. Unique Project Aspects: Although located on the second floor, the grading of the site will allow for portions of the second floor to be at grade facilitating the construction of the pools within the addition. This project is being designed to obtain a LEED certification for Interiors. |
