As overall project coordinator, Jarmel Kizel was responsible for designing the new facility and managing the relocation of staff, furniture and equipment between all of Berlex’s offices. The Cedar Knolls and Fairfield facilities were vacated at the completion of the project. The completed project successfully met the interdepartmental adjacency requirements, critical to Berlex’s business plan. Unique Project Aspects: Included, within the new 120,000 SF Headquarters, was the construction of a cafeteria designed to feed 300 people, a training facility with a 200 seat multipurpose room, a video conferencing center and a small data center. Structural modifications were made to the building to include a loading dock and a new service elevator. Also, toilet rooms, elevators and site conditions were upgraded to comply with the ADA-AG. |
