Project Type: Re-Development of Industrial Building into Project Size: 40,000 SF Building Services Provided: Civil Engineering, Architectural and Interior Design, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering. Project Description: This $ 2.5 million dollar project included the conversion of a 40,000 square foot, fifty-year old industrial building into a private school for disabled children. The entire building was demolished down to its structural skin, the existing pre-cast concrete façade was left in place and new windows were installed. The project program called for the construction of 17 classrooms, a music room, an art room, gymnasium, cafeteria, school offices and corporate offices. Jarmel Kizel assisted the client in obtaining all approvals including site plan approval and Department of Education approvals. |
