JARMEL KIZEL SELECTED FOR
LOBBY RENOVATION FOR FOUR BUILDINGS AT ATRIUM DRIVE IN SOMERSET, NJ. NEW
OWNER, ALLEGIANCE REALTY CORP., PLANS MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR RENOVATION
SOMERSET, NJ, MAY 16, 2005 —Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, Inc., has
been appointed by Allegiance Realty Corporation to create a new lobby design
as part of the multi-faceted, multi-million dollar renovation program
planned for 300, 500 and 700 Atrium Drive in Somerset, New Jersey, as well
as the Garden State Exhibit Center. Allegiance Realty recently acquired The
Atrium campus, considered the crown jewel of the Somerset office market.
David Lesesne, RA, associate principal, is serving as Project Architect for
this assignment for Jarmel Kizel.
Jarmel Kizel will be providing all interior design services for the
following lobbies: 300 Atrium Drive, a 153,343-square-foot, four-story Class
A office building; 500 Atrium Drive, a 173,886-square-foot, four-story
facility; 700 Atrium Drive, a 183,925-square-foot, four-story building; and
The Garden State Exhibit Center, 50 Atrium Drive, a 120,000-square-foot
expo/conference facility featuring a 7,500-square-foot lobby. All the
designs for the Atrium buildings created by Jarmel Kizel will be modeled
after the campus’ 400 Atrium Drive lobby.

“Atrium Drive is one of the most prestigious corporate campuses in central
New Jersey and our interior design plans will add to the campus’ already
strong appeal. Our goal is to incorporate a new look and feel to the
buildings for tenants and visitors alike,” he added.
The design plans call for the incorporation of similar materials throughout
the buildings to create a common feel to the campus, all while using design
patterns in the floors and wall paneling to express the unique
characteristics of each building.
Built in the 1980s, The Atrium’s improvement program will encompass a needed
facelift to the lobbies and common areas. The project will include wood
laminates and stainless steel for the walls, new carpeting and touches of
granite to the flooring, new elevator lobbies and interiors that will create
a wood-like feel and new indirect lighting fixtures throughout the lobby
corridors. In addition, all common areas of the facilities will be upgraded
with new stainless steel stalls, mosaic strip tiling, accent lighting above
the wash areas and new ceiling lighting.
“Design drawings are in for approval and we expect to embark on this
improvement program in the very near future,” commented David Lesesne. “When
completed later this summer, this improvement program will create a more
modern look and feel to this already sophisticated office campus,” he added.
