ISS SERVES UP DESIGN SERVICES
FOR ON THE BORDER MEXICAN CAFÉ
HICKSVILLE, NY, SEPTEMBER 19,
1999- The ISS Architectural Group, Inc. is building an outstanding
reputation in the hospitality industry. The full-service architectural and
engineering company has recently added to its portfolio of successful
projects by completing the design for an On The Border Mexican Café in
Hicksville, New York. ISS performed full design services including site plan
modification and structural alterations for the restaurant's owner, The
Briad Group, a long-term client of ISS.
The On The Border Mexican Café project involved taking an existing building,
formerly a Nathan's Restaurant, and converting it into this new usage. The
existing building was stripped to its shell and ISS designed a new exterior
facade and interior space plan to meet Briad's requirements. ISS utilized
prototype On The Border Mexican Café design standards and reconfigured them
to fit into the building's existing structure. The new 10,000 square foot On
The Border Mexican Café includes seating for 230 customers as well as a bar
and enclosed dining patio, new kitchen and restroom facilities. The
restaurant's Southwestern motif has made On the Border Mexican Café one of
the most popular restaurant chains in the country.
